River
I was the Technical Artist on River for Gears 5, ensuring that the map ran at a locked 60fps on Xbox One. This was our biggest and most open map to date, making this map one of our most challenging. Draw calls were our biggest hurdle to achieve our performance target with both large interior and exterior spaces with very little occlusion due to the destruction of the walls (I like to refer to this as Swiss cheese).
